astro autobiography
charting the bones of your astrological chart,
building the narrative of your unique life
Each month, over seven months, we will gather in-person, embodied and on the land in northern New Mexico.
In community, we will creatively explore, enact and discover the archetypes that create our birth chart-inviting us to know ourselves and one another intimately.
bringing astrology to life
In order to make astrology a meaningful map and tool for ourselves, we have to breathe life into it. This does not come from staring at our charts through a computer screen. Astrology belongs to the natural world, to the wild. It belongs to the night sky, to the waters, to the shifting earth. It is, first and foremost, a primal, ceremonial art.
Most of us know things about our astrology but we haven’t yet discovered how to be in relationship to and with the archetypes, the beings, and the gods that make up our birth charts.
Our charts deserve to be felt, honored, and witnessed. By one another, in sacred community, and through the deepening of our experience with our chart.
Astro Autobiography is the unnamed art of creatively discovering and expressing the story of our chart. Through movement, astrological constellation work, writing, art, song, and the land we can bring the chart back to life.
“Most importantly, can we have faith that the universe is harmonious?”
— Stephen Arroyo
creating an astrological thesis
Each participant will choose a form of creation that is most appealing to them throughout our seven months together. This could be dance, poetry, sculpture, music, photography, a podcast, film, graphic novels, etc. There is no limit to how you can create your astrological thesis.
As we move through the exploration of the planets, participants will create something to represent their own unique journey with that planet. Each month, participant’s portfolios will build upon themselves. At the end of our seven months together, participants will be able to share their full thesis with the cohort — bringing to life their astrological autobiography.
the high desert
I first came to the high desert of New Mexico when I was twenty-three and haven’t been able to leave - at least not for long. The land here naturally cultivates a depth and mysticism that is hard found elsewhere. It lends itself to processes of healing and transformation. It is most innately wild and open, free and sovereign.
We will be meeting monthly on my land and farm in northern New Mexico, getting to interact with all the elements while we study and experience the birth chart. We will walk in the piñon and juniper forests, soak in the hot springs, dip in the rivers and sit by the fires as we gaze into the stars.
Being in-person, for these seven months together, will be the key to bringing our charts to life, to remembering them as sacred maps and to rooting them in the natural world we live in.
Logistics
timeline
We will meet once a month from April 2026 - October 2026 here on our farm in Northern New Mexico. The exact weekend dates will be decided upon once everyone is registered for the course.
weekends
We’ll gather for three full days each month—Friday through Sunday (11 am - after dinner) If you’re joining us from outside northern New Mexico, I’ll share a list of nearby places to stay to support your weekend immersion.
what’s included
We will be providing participants with dinners and snacks each day. Participants will need to bring their own sack lunches. My wife will be cooking all meals for our weekends together. She will be preparing all organic, gluten-free local meals with food from our farm and surrounding farms.
cost
The cost of this program is $5200. This can be paid all at once or in monthly installments of $400 over a 12 month period. Payments will begin April 2025. Participants will need to make a $400 non-refundable deposit to save their spot.
group dynamics
Group work can be inherently challenging. We all have had experiences in groups that have been traumatic, triggering and confronting. I will do my best to tend to these vulnerable dynamics. Talking about being in groups of women will be an active part of this experience and one that will be recognized each time we come together.
knowledge of astrology
It is not necessary that you know anything about astrology to be part of this group. We will be experiencing the planets in very new and different ways. What is most important is that you are open and desiring to hear and witness the story of your chart and the stories of others. At the end of this, there is no doubt you will be intimately connected to your chart and to astrology.

The Roots of Our Astrology
Embodied Astrology
We’ll explore the birth chart through the body itself. At times, this will mean creating a large chart wheel on the ground and physically moving from house to house, letting the body sense and feel each part of the wheel. At other times, we’ll draw from the principles of family constellation work—embodying planetary energies together, allowing the archetypes to speak, move, and reveal themselves through relational play.
Archetypal Astrology
We will explore astrology through the lens of depth psychology — exploring the ways that the planets move through our psyche and emotional landscapes as humans. We will explore how the movement of the planets are not predictive but instead, are motivations for growth, transformation and change. We will work with the planets as forces, energies and alive beings.
Eco-Astrology
We will explore our relationship to the natural world and how this informs our understanding of our charts. For example, we will go on meditative walks through the forest with the planets, discover our relationship with the ecliptic and bring to life our own, unique relationship to the place we live and how this informs our relationship to astrology.
